Toddler Food Ideas {Free Printable}

As you know, my baby boy turned 1 a few weeks ago! Which meals no more formula! It also means, I have one more person to think about at meal time! I have to admit, I already miss the convenience (and easy cleanup) of formula!
He had been eating finger foods for a few months now, but more as snacks than on a regular basis. So when my doctor stressed the importance of feeding him a balanced diet along with whole milk, I was a little intimidated! So I came home and what else.... googled! I found tons of meal ideas for 1 year olds, but I decided to compile a list of all the options in one place and use it to make meal decicions! It's also a nice thing to have when my hubby is home alone with the little mr. and need ideas for what to feed him.
 I usually choose 1 thing from 2-3 of the groups for each meal. Now keep in mind that these are all things that MY little boy can eat, he has no allergies (that we know of) and he has about 6-7 teeth now. I know some doctors don't agree with eggs or peanut butter before age 2, so if that's the case for you, just cross them off. If you have any other ideas of what to feed little ones, I would LOVE to hear them!

All I did was Slip this list into a sheet protector (totally optional) and tapes it up into the 'baby' cupboard, where we keep all the sippy cups/bibs and stuff like that.

*Remember to ALWAY cut up food small enough and cook it well enough for your little one to eat!*

Oh I like this idea! My little buddy is almost 1 1/2 and he eats what we eat for dinner, but I'm always trying to be creative for lunches!

Good idea! My kids are so picky I get so sick of doing the same things all the time!

Saw you at DIY under $5 at A Little Tipsy.

Asparagus spears are fun too! When cooked long enough, they wobble around and provide great fun for your little one!

Feeding time is my least favorite time with my little gal. She likes marshmallows a little too much and it's time to feed her something a little more nutritional :) thanks for the list, it's going in my cupboard today!

My little man LOVES rice! Whether we make Rice-a-Roni, or rice with cream of chicken soup as a sauce, he loves it. Also, I forgot about Vienna Sausages. I loved them as a kid, but do they have "fillers" like hot dogs? I would love to know if they have any health value to them.

Thanks so much for this list! I will be printing it out (and adding a few things my son likes) and using it today. I will use a sheet protector, and maybe even dry erase markers so we can try for more variety around here. :)

Such simple and basic ideas, but as a busy Mom, it's so awesome to have a list of go-to's when in a bind! Thanks for sharing this very cute download!

I know the frustration of being the Mother of a picky eater! Sometimes every bite of food requires major negotiating skills. It’s exhausting. I have now discovered a great cookbook on Kindle – Kid Approved Slow Cooker Meals – by Kelly Cook. My kids love the dinners and there’s 50 of them. Hooray! No food arguments for almost 2 months. Go to Kindle at Amazon or here's a link: http://tinyurl.com/mcexgu4

Great! I'm thinking about doing it again in a while to see a different week's foods, because depending on what we have in the kitchen, the variety would be different.
